Well, it's official. I'm allowed to be in the Rollins College (was ranked #1 in the South) of Central Florida orchestra. I don't have to pay anything to be in it.
I also bought Rosetta Stone online access in German levels 1-5 for $180 as opposed to $500, on sale Memorial Day. It's on sale at BN as a CD it so happens until like June 10th. I am getting a new Windows laptop so I can do Rosetta Stone on it and access iTunes, etc. I already own a working Google Chromebook, which has worked very well. My old Windows tablet laptop touch screen slowed down, tho, or something like that.
The best experience I had I know in music was my college Loyola University New Orleans's University Band. I played bells, as I had in 12th grade. As a pianist, I don't get around as easily, but I have accompanied and played with others for awhile. I've kept up my music skills by going back to singing after wanting to be an movie actress/model. I did Broadway singing on my own. I've wanted to be a singer since age 5. I wanted to play flute when I was about 6 or 7. I wanted to play piano just for fun. My parents/dad got me in lessons at age 9 1/2. I started choir at age 8 mostly until college for church. I got to take organ when I was 16. It was hard with school. I should have known to focus on my career rather than just random subjects if it was too much for me. I wish I chose a major instrument after my 1st semester, but I guess I did not know. The added history intro course in music requiring library visits was too much, tho I got an A easily. I actually did not memorize my major instrument jury, piano, because of that class. I was taking 3 private lessons instruments, like the 1st semester. I know a lotta people do actually take 2 private instruments. All the theory teachers were organists, but the college added organ special. I don't know how much money I can make as a violinist. I've been encouraged it will happen someday, several years ballpark. I think this orchestra will really help. It happens in the fall and spring, I think. I think most people who do music have some outlet of performing. I tried to make singing CDs and perform and tour, but no luck. I could learn some folk songs on the piano and sing and sell it, tho.
