I mean, what is up with the pattern of Europeans "following" Americans in ways they want to see their stereotype as, for better or for worse?

Tim Burton apparently is a trap.  If you believe he is worth a lot, he will make it so older young people can't succeed in life nor make it in Hollywood, at least not easily, because he believes he is wrapping up life for us.  At least, that's what people think and that's one thing that happened supposedly.  Johnny Depp made it seem like good people were not worth it cuz they didn't become actors, too, and so bad people would find solace in condemning them.
