Movie Review: "The Adventures of Tintin"
I was looking forward to seeing this quaint tale.
There was a big shock when you first see it and adjust to the fact that you are seeing 3D animated real life form people. Arthur Christmas for example had cartoon 3D animations. This was like the real deal. Beowulf was like that, too.
Tintin is a nice boy with a nice vocal artist. He has a quaint round head with playful red hair. His dog Snowy, who I looked up beforehand, is a cute fluffy white dog with lots of spunk.
I must admit being peeved at that drunk guy, or was he just like that without being like totally intoxicated? Silly man!
Renée Fleming was a marvelous surprise to see there. My dad got me her Handel CD years ago when I was a music major and took voice. She was the 2nd top singer in the world or the U.S. She shattered glass in the film, and I must admit like the whole time I had to cover my ears because the sound was very annoying to me. I even had to cover my ears after. You know people trying to settle from the blow, the other voice actors tapering it not right away totally.
I think the ending was interesting.
Another funny part is what was advertised they were resting on a turned over boat because this drunk-acting guy who we thought was serious was delirious and made a fire in a wooden boat with nothing to keep the firewood, made of the oars he rowed after knocking out Tintin with one of them, from the boat burning. So, they had a hole in their little boat and were out in the middle of the ocean stranded. It was interesting when they got the plane to the desert. My dad and I didn't remember how they got out of that mess!
I was happy at how mature and friendly it was presented. I was a little upset, thought I'd enjoy the opera part yet had to cover my ears. That's quite a statement to make to be able to do that. I wonder how they knew about Renée Fleming. I try to post about her sometimes. I should also add her soon to my website of people I like and who they are.
It's too bad I can't remember the plot. I was just watching the antics of all the characters.
Good show! Jolly good one!
