Valentine's Day is a lot like Mardi Gras. The people with ancestry in New Orleans to whatever degree hold it very dear. I'm so thankful you've brought the spirit of Valentine's so much! I like to see it in a contemporary way and got Sponge Bob cards for my fam.. What I mean is more a classical contemporary feel, like those modern ads you see of business offices, those inspirational movies that we used to supposedly have.. like those 2 things combined. I think that movies have died along with MySpace and the alternative rise of "Facebook," which I have grown fond of having yet again. I've had like 100 accounts. I've changed my # twice for it. I don't really seem to use Twitter, anymore. I used to read Ellen there, but she just posts fluff. Know what I'm saying? I like Dr. Phil's take on reality. They wanted Ellen for President, even, so I wonder if they'd want Dr. Phil to work for world peace! I guess Valentine's is also like an Ellen day. I've been in her studio audience twice cuz we got a pass to come back for the Christmas "12 Days of Giveaways" prizes. I didn't get any regular shopping gift cards that day, tho, but that's cool. Funny the plane ride was more expensive in the winter. So, Valentine's is like Elle cuz they're both love fluff and something everyone celebrates. What about Mardi Gras? Ellen is New Orleanian. I too from living there acquired a "Southern Drawl." Floridians apparently have a talent for breaking up what they say. You know, it is cold enough to go ice skating for Valentine's, whether you can do it or not.. I know when I was little, people loved skating. I was born in 1986, so this would be 1988+. There's this rare or maybe known stop motion animation. It has all the holidays in it. It's about the Easter Bunny, tho. LOL. I also had the one about Rudolph and the New Year. Tim Burton was all up into the animation things. So, 1 is Rudolph and the Shiny New Year. The other is Here Comes Peter Cottontail. There's another cartoon I don't know the name of, too. Anyway, if ya'll have grandkids in the family this should do good.
About the blog post, yes, I find everything takes planning and a gradual completion of those steps. My life sometimes gets better and in some ways gets worse. I am always treated like I'm bad, but sometimes I can also see the silver lining. I dunno, drinking ain't bad, but I don't do it. I'm always in trouble for something or nothing. I try to achieve, but people just tear me down. They go into things that I do that aren't "perfect" but don't care if others have it easy with their hard times when it comes to others. So, the blog post is a good testimony in my eyes. It reminds me of things that once were, that good behavior guarantees a positive response. :(
It looks like Robin modernized up Valentine's Day, as well! Nice Blog Post!
I guess my Valentine's day will revolve around candy.
I hope my post is okay and of a related interest. :) <3 Happy Valentine's!
