Why are Generation X so crappy but Late Boomers not really the center of attention?

Why are people mad at you experiencing pleasure in private or feeling accomplished?  RACE

Also, why do some crappy job for a lot of money, just to get a mere home?  Why not get famous for performing?  You know, singing musicals and classical songs and some pop, knowing how to dance and do classical dance|ballet, etc.?
