Problem
I think you just shouldn't make a big deal about what Ellen does being mean cuz she wishes she didn't have to do it. I don't fight with her about little things.

People liked SNL cuz it was current and popular TV shows. They aren't actors now. I see what happens, tho. I mean, I didn't grow up thinking about acting as a way of meeting and socializing people.
Hidden Anger
Ellen tells herself just be nice to "the kids" and things will go fine.
However, bottled up, is her telling us we did something wrong when we didn't and if we did was just an accident.. that she won't really be nice 100% sure at some point, as promised and depended on and needed to flow.
